Adrian Newey is expected to submit his resignation to Red Bull Racing today, amid the speculation that he is leaving the team and making the switch to Ferrari. 'Newey leaves Red Bull, announcement on Tuesday'

F1-Insider.com has reported that Red Bull will announce Newey's depature on Tuesday. Rumours have continued to circulate over the depature of the team's Chief Technical Operator after it was reported he is said to be unhappy with the power struggle within the team, alongside his own role. The statement is also expected to reveal detauls of the separation.

Newey is contracted with the Austrian team until 2025, with a further period after that in which he may not work for another Formula 1 team. However, it appears he has agreed on a contract termination with Red Bull, meaning he will be allowed to leave earlier and begin working for a new employer. 

'Aston Martin to appeal Alonso's penalty: FIA hearing in Miami'

Aston Martin have field an appeal to the FIA to reconsider the penalty imposted on Alonso for his incident with Ferrari's Carlos Sainz during the sprint race in China. The two drivers got caught in a fierce battle, with Alonso suffering a puncture in the process. In return, the stewards gave him a hefty time penalty and three penalty points on his licence. Prior to the upcoming Grand Prix this weekend, representatives of both Aston Martin and Ferrari will report to the stewards to determine whether there is "a significant new element that was not yet available to the applicant at the time of the decision in question.' 

'Wolff again takes on 'professional' Hamilton'

The 2024 season has not been easy for seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who is currently ninth in the World Championship. Despite his challenges, team boss Toto Wolff has once again stuck up for him: "I think Lewis is a professional and has behaved in that way until now." 

Wolff added, "He is trying to keep his morale high. And the morale of the team too, even if the results don't come."
